Don’t Throw That Away!
In 2008, I had the honor of being Artist-in-Residence in a local school. I began thinking about materials that anyone could easily access in their world. I wanted to give creative independence to the children I taught by sharing the understanding that your art supplies are only limited by your imagination. I invented “Food Packaging Collage” with that thought in mind. Before bringing my idea to the children I taught, I gave it a spin, and I was hooked! It was used as an episode on ‘Cardboard’ in the television show, “Don’t Throw That Away” that I created in 2009. (2008 – 2009)
